Salvatore (Sam) Scullino, the creator of the Gelobar’s famous gelati recipe, was born in 1957 at Scido in the Province of Reggio Calabria, Italy. He was the youngest of 8 children. At an early age Sam commenced assisting his elder brother Antonio at “Il Pasticcere Scullino” located in Turin, Northern Italy. With over 57 years of experience “Il Pasticcere Scullino” continues to operate and service Italians all over Turin and surrounding areas.

Apart from introducing Melbourne to the famous recipes of gelati made by Sam,   Gelobar has continued to expand and offers a wide range of other products such as coffee based beverages both hot and cold, an extensive arrange of confectionary and corporate and traditional gifts and hampers.
